Lets GoThis game is a rip-off of another game which I won't name or I may get in trouble, but I can't take credit for the idea. It was written for my kids and to give me a technology project to explore.
The game is played in teams (currently 2). Folks sit in a circle, so the teams are intermixed (i.e. if the team names are "a" and "b" the seating order would be "a", "b", "a", "b", etc). When the round starts (more on "rounds" later), someone from the starting team sees a word/phrase on the screen. They must then get someone on their team to say the word without using the word itself. Once they get someone on their team to say the word, the device (phone/iPad, etc) is passed to the next player (who should be on the opposite team). The next player should advance the word by tapping or swiping left. If the player does not like the word, they may swipe through more words but the clock is still ticking
As the game round continues, the screen starts to change color. This indicates that the round is progressing until it is ultimately over. When the round ends by the word exploding (and the phone shaking if on Android), the team holding the device is the looser and the other team gets a point
The game is organized into rounds. A round is the time between when the first word is played by a team, and when a team looses by holding the device when time expires. A game is a set of rounds. At the end of a game, one team is declared the winner who won the most rounds.
The number of rounds, time-per-round, and the category of words are all chosen as part of the Options found on the home screen (above what you're reading now). Note you can select multiple categories.
